Welcome to the UK Fashion Hub, a centre to unite the UK’s fashion and textile industry

Gavin Ambrose talking about the vision for the UK Fashion Hub

Why the need for a UK Fashion Hub?
London is one of the four fashion destinations of the world along with Paris, New York and Milan. However, unlike all of these other cities, the UK doesn’t yet have a dedicated centre for fashion.

The UK Fashion Hub is set to bring great things to the city of London, uniting key areas under one roof: education, events, commerce, technology and manufacturing. We hope that the UK Fashion Hub can play an important role in fulfilling David Cameron’s vision for a Tech-City in East London’s new creative quarter and contribute to the regeneration of the area.

Nurturing core skills is at the heart of what we are proposing, opening up a variety of prospects for the young and the unemployed. Skills acquired at the UK Fashion Hub will not only instil a sense of pride but they will deliver economic prosperity, both now and for the future.

The UK Fashion Hub will be a centre for creativity and excellence. Firstly, it will contribute economically through the reestablishment of a UK manufacturing base and constant technological innovation. It will also contribute socially to the future of London through a programme of employment and training, promoting education and a return to pride in UK manufacture.

Why not here? Why not now?
